Accommodation for Exchange Student
USP offers four off-campus apartments with furnished private rooms (the apartments are leased from the private sector.) They are available for exchange students.

* Rent fee includes utilities and Internet fees.
* Smoking in the dormitory is strictly prohibited.
* Students have to pay a security deposit (JPY 20,000) when they move in, but this is refundable when they move out as long as there's no problem.
* The apartments are also home to local residents who are not affiliated with the university.
* There are rules for things like how to dispose of garbage, so be sure to check them first and follow them.
* There is limited space available in the dormitories. Students will be assigned on a vacancy basis.
There are live-in tutors in Kitakyuso and North Village; one Japanese student lives in each apartment and they help international students get used to live in the city.
Each apartment offers: Internet access, laundry, kitchen with kitchen utensils and bathroom.
Air conditioning (split or portable) is available in all private rooms.
Each private room has: beddings, desk and chair, clothes rack and bookcase.
Free bike rental for exchange students is available.

■北久荘 Kitakyuso
Kitakyuso is a three-bedroom apartment built in 1999. This is located in a residential area near the university, in a quiet environment.
Air conditioners are installed in the two rooms on the balcony side. The wooden floor room on the entrance side has portable heating and cooling devices that is not an air conditioner.

■ノースヴィリッジ North Village
North Village is a two-bedroom apartment built in 2003. This is located in a residential area near the university, in a quiet environment.
Air conditioners are installed in each private room.

■モンマリーノ Monte Marino
Monte Marino is a one-room apartment built in 2004. This is the nearest dorm from the university and the bus stop.

Leopalace is a one-room apartment built in 2008. This is located in a shopping district, making it convenient daily life.
